#24 Senior, RB/DB/KR, Russell Hoeflich (5-9, 165) is probably the Eagles most versatile player entering the 2004 campaign. The senior is coming off a strong junior season where he made an impact on offense, defense and special teams. A kick blocking specialist he blocked a punt and recovered it for a key touchdown in an important 28-20 win over Fountain Valley

In 2004: Russell rushed for 33 yards on eight carries at St. Paul in Week 1.

In 2003, Hoeflich blocked three kicks and rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown. He gained a career-high 82 yards on only 13 carries at Los Alamitos in the CIF Playoffs. Earned Player fo the Game for his efforts vs. Fountain Valley and Long Beach Jordan. Earned his second varsity letter and named the Teams Scout Team Player of the Year in 2003.

Misc: Earned his first varsity letter in 2002 after contributing on special teams and as a defensive back. Russell is the younger brother of former Eagle Garrett Hoeflich. Can run the 40 in 4.5 seconds.
