             9 Eagles Commit 
            Congratulations to OL John Maxwell (Iona), DL Matt Rupp (Colorado State), DB Mark Johnson (USD), DB Ryan Nienhuis (Navy), QB Michael Angelo (Navy), RB Chris Ramsey (Air Force), DB Mark Restelli (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), LB Jack Meehan (Saddleback JC), and FB Nick Bahr (Saddleback JC) from the class of 2004 who have committed to play football at the next level.

            Restelli to play in the OC All-Star Game 
            DB Mark Restelli was chosen to play for the South Team in the annual Orange County All-Star Game. The game annually features the top 72 graduated football players in Orange County.

            Rupp  named All-State & All-County 
            DL Matt Rupp was named to the Cal-Hi Sports 2nd Team Defense All-State team. Matt was also named  named to both the LA Times and the OC Register All-County Teams.

          9 Eagles earn All-Serra League. Rupp named Defensive MVP 
            DL Matt Rupp was named the Co-MVP Defense of the Serra League. QB Michael Angelo, WR Ryan Neinhaus, LB Jack Meehan,	and 
            DB Mark Restelli  were named 1st Team All-Serra League. OL Nick Bahr, OL Stephan Strickroth,	LB Thomas Ramirez, and DL Jeff Jones were named 2nd Team. 
            All-League Eagles 
             
            
             Los Alamitos 20 - Eagles 10 
            Joshua Jones rushed 30 times for 190 yards and Jimmy Barnes rushed for two one-yard touchdowns to lead the Los Alamitos Griffins to a 20-10 victory over Santa Margarita before a crowd of 4,000 at Long Beach Wilson High School. Mark Johnson had 4 receptions for 93 yards. Russell Hoeflich had 13 carries for 82 yards Jack Meehan once again spearheaded the Eagle defensive effort as the senior standout collected 13 tackles. It was his 20th career game with at least 10 tackles and his 13th consecutive. He finished his career as the Eagle leader with 356 tackles. Senior linebacker Thomas Ramirez registered 14 tackles of his own while defensive end Jeff Jones and defensive back Mark Restelli chipped in 11 and 10 respectively.

             Loyola 21 - Eagles 7 
            The Loyola Cubs wore down the Santa Margarita 
            Eagles and pulled out a 21-7 victory before a crowd of 4,500 at Saddleback 
            College. With the win the Cubs improved to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in 
            league play to move into first place in the highly competitive Serra 
            League, while Santa Margarita fell to 7-2, 2-2.

            Offensively, QB Michael Angelo ran for over 
            140 yards and passed for 164 yards. On Defense, DE Jeff Jones picked 
            off a Servite Screen play and ran the ball back into field goal territory. 
            On Special teams, Kicker Mike Fowle kicked the game winning Field 
            goal with 3 seconds remaining.

            were unable to mount an offense threat and lost the battle of field 
            position all night. Defensively, Matt Rupp had his ninth sack of the 
            season and the 30th of his career.

            The Eagles held the Lancers to only 2 
            first downs and -7 total yards for the game. On offense RB Chris 
            Ramsey ran for over 100 yards as the Eagles offense racked up almost 
            300 total yards on the ground and 72 yards thru the air.

            while the defense came up with an important late 4th quarter stand 
            to hold off the Mustangs.

            Quarterback Michael Angelo had 
            touchdown runs of 50 and 65 yards. Russell Hoeflich blocked both 
            a punt and an extra point to help the Eagles improve to 4-0.

            Quarterback Michael Angelo rushed 
            for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns while Chris Ramsey added 
            52 and another touchdown as the Eagles scored 17 unanswered points 
            in the second half to defeat the Long Beach Jordan Panthers 24-6 
            before 4,500 at Saddleback College.

            and two scores, QB Michael Angelo passed for two touchdowns and 
            Ryan Nienhuis returned a punt for a school-record 84-yard touchdown 
            to lead Santa Margarita to a convincing 35-0 win over the Redlands 
            Terriers (0-2) before a crowd of 4,500 at the University of Redlands.
