Case completed 11 of 15 passes at Loyola. Also rushed for 24 yards and a season-high 15-yard gain. Case had career-highs of 23 completions in 41 attempts for 273 yards and two touchdowns at Servite. The 23 completions tied the school record shared by Sean O'Brien (1992) and Derek Yankoff (1993). The 273 yards is tied for 9th best in school history. It was his third straight game with two Td passes. Case is 29-2 as a starter at the lower and varsity levels. In Week 6 he had 18 completions in 34 attempts for 211 yards and two touchdowns against St. John Bosco. Completed five of nine passes for 104 yards and a career-high two touchdowns at Trabuco Hills. In Week 4's 28-7 win over Fountain Valley he enjoyed a solid game completing 10 of 12 passes for 103 yards and a Td. Also had two completions called back due to penalties and collected two tackles on special teams. Completed six of 14 passes for 58 yards vs. Dorsey in Week 3. Against Redlands in Week 2 he completed seven of eight passes for 95 yards and his first career Td pass in an important 38-14 win. He also rushed for 26 yards on seven carries to earn co-Offensive Player of the Game honors. Has completed 60.0% of his passes in 2002.

In 2001: Colaw saw action in several games at both QB and WR and completed three of five passes for 19 yards. He also rushed three times for seven yards including a 12-yard run on a lateral during the Mater Dei game. Posted a QB rating of 91.9.

Misc: Case has patiently waited for his chance behind standouts Chris Rix (Florida State), Matt Dlugolecki (San Diego State) and Marshall Tharpe (Colorado State) for the past three years but is prepared to make his mark in 2002. Case has impressed his coaches with his speed (4.55) and knowledge of the offense and is poised to have a strong year. Colaw was recognized as one of the team Captains for 2002 for his commitment during the off-season. Case performed well at the 2002 Nike Combine at Stanford in May. Colaw has consistently run his 40s in the mid 4.5's with a top time of 4.55, and has recorded an impressive time of 4.07 in the pro agility. Case is a member of the Speed Eagle Club. Can squat an impressive 360 pounds.
