Ryan is the epitome of the term "student-athlete". An excellent student in the classroom (4.17 GPA), Ryan is one of the hardest all-around workers on the football team. His hard work and self-discipline have helped him to earn key roles in every facet of the Eagles attack for the 2002 season. Offensively, Ryan is a fundamentally sound player that can play any of the skill positions , including running back. On the defensive side of the ball, Ryan will rotate in at both of the safety positions where his size and speed will allow him to fulfill multiple defensive responsibilities. Ryan will also contribute on special teams where he has experience as a punt-returner and block specialist.

In 2001: Ryan saw significant playing time on offense and defense. Though only a sophomore at the time Ryan had a big impact on the Eagles' 2001 seasons.

Misc: Ryan is an Honor Roll student with a 4.17 GPA. Ryan is also a member of the Speed Eagles and Power Eagles clubs. Ryan runs the 40 in 4.57 and the 20yd pro-agility in 4.03.
