Andrew is using his all-around technical skill to spearhead the Eagle defense. He became the first Eagle LB to be named the All-Sea View League First Team two years in a row. Andrew picked up a season high 14 tackles and a 90% grade against Newport Harbor in Week 13 after registering seven tackles and a 91% grade at Servite. He raised his season tackle total to 106, and his career total to 206 (3rd place on the all-time Eagle tackle list). It was also his fifth straight week of at least a 90% grade. Andrew collected six tackles and a 95% grade against Katella to raise his season tackle total to 85. In Week 9, he recorded nine tackles and a 95% grade vs Woodbridge. The previous week, Holstein registered 11 tackles, a 97% grade and scoring his first career Td with a 59-yard fumble recovery and return vs. Irvine. Against Fountain Valley, Andrew picked up a season high 12 tackles. At El Modena he collected eight tackles and blocked a punt. In Week 1, Andrew collected 11 tackles, recovered a fumble and picked up 0.5 sacks vs. Trabuco Hills. Andrew has two fumble recoveries, one sack and one pass broken up on the season, and has been named a Player of the Game four times.

In 1996, Holstein finished the season with 76 tackles including six sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception. He also returned a blocked field goal 58 yards. Against Newport Harbor, Andrew collected a career high 17 tackles and two sacks. An adept long snapper, he was named Special Teams MVP in 1996.
