At Santa Margarita: Member of the Strength Eagles, and 800 pound clubs; will move to left tackle to protect Carson's backside on the pass and will be a key defensive lineman; was the Offensive Rookie of the Year and 1st Team all League; also plays baseball; has run a 4.3 pro agility, and 4.9 in the 40; benches 230 and squats 405.

Matt is having a strong season on both sides of the ball and is having an All-CIF and All-Orange County type season. At Newport Harbor, Matt was named Offensive Lineman of the Game for the third time this season for his 89%, three decleater effort. Strickroth also added three tackles on defense. Matt also has a total of 22 tackles, 2 sacks and one fumble recovery. At Servite, the All-Sea View League First Teamer received a 76% grade and one decleater to raise his season total to 19 and his career total to 26. Strickroth also added one tackle to raise his season total to 22 (with two sacks). Against Katella, Matt registered one decleater and an 85% grade on defense. Against El Toro, Matt received an 86% grade and recorded one tackle, and added a decleater on offense. In Week 9, Matt had four tackles and a career high three decleaters at Woodbridge. Matt received a 92% defensive grade vs. Irvine in Week 8. Matt registered four tackles and a sack on defense against Newport Harbor to be named Defensive Lineman of the Game. He also received that honor after a four-tackle, one-sack, and one tackle-for-loss game vs. El Modena. Against Servite and Trabuco Hills he was named Offensive Lineman of the Game. At Durango, he also picked up three decleaters.

Misc. Matt has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Notre Dame.

Last year, Matt was named to the All-Sea View League Team and was honored as the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Strickroth picked up 31 tackles (five for losses) and two sacks.
