Nick is enjoying an outstanding year and the All-Orange County and All-Sea View League LB recorded 12 tackles and a 90% grade vs. Newport Harbor. In Week 12, Nick posted an 89% grade and a career high 1.5 sacks, 18 tackle performance at Servite. The All-CIF and All-Orange candidate collected a team high 11 tackles and posted an 87% grade vs. Katella. Nick also added eight yards on two carries from his wingback position. Cappelletti recorded seven tackles and one sack against El Toro to earn Defensive Skill Player of the Game for the third time this season. At Woodbridge in Week 9, Nick registered 11 tackles, a 90% grade and rushed once for six yards. Cappelletti recorded eight tackles, broke up a pass and graded out at 97% vs. Irvine in Week 8. Nick picked up 15 tackles vs. Newport Harbor, seven, plus a forced fumble at CdM, 12 at Fountain Valley, 13 at El Modena, 11 at Servite 11 against Durango, and 13 vs. Trabuco Hills. Cappelletti is a strong candidate for All-CIF, and All-South County honors. He has been named a Player of the Game seven times, has a team high 149 tackles (best ever for an Eagle senior, and second best all-time), two forced fumbles, and 4.5 sacks, and also has 32 rushing yards. In 1996, he collected 43 tackles, a fumble recovery and a sack.

Misc. The former J.V. MVP and son of former Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti has 192 career tackles (7th best in school history) and is 15 tackles from moving into 5th place.
