2005 Game highlights:  JD had seven tackles at St. John Bosco but his biggest play was an interception he returned 23 yards with 8:35 left in the fourth quarter that helped preserve the Eagle’s 29-23 win.  Dawson leads the secondary and is third on the team with 73 tackles.  Dawson recorded five tackles and intercepted a pass at Bishop Amat in Week 8.  JD picked up a team-high 11 tackles at Mater Dei.  Dawson picked up nine tackles and a forced fumble vs. Loyola.  JD picked up a season high 12 tackles at Foothill in Week 5.  Dawson had seven tackles and a forced fumble vs. Fountain Valley in Week 4 and registered a season-high 10 tackles vs. Orange Lutheran in Week 3.  Dawson recorded a key sack and forced a fumble on the play to halt a Dorsey drive in Week 2.  Returned the opening kickoff 41 yards, recorded six tackles and broke up a pass at Kealakehe in Week 1.

2005 Pre-Season: Listed as one of the Top DBs in California per Cal Hi Sports Hot 250. JD has enjoyed a great off-season solidifying his position as one of the leaders of a veteran defensive crew and one of the top defensive backs in Orange County. Can run the 40 in 4.5 seconds and is one of the strongest players on the team. Intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards in the Eagles’ first full-pad scrimmage of 2005. May also see action at RB and WR in 2005.

2004 Overview: Named to the All-Serra League Team and led the defensive backs and finished fourth on the team with 81 tackles.

2004 Game Highlights: Registered 12 tackles at Colton in Week 11. Recorded eight tackles and forced a school record three fumbles at Loyola in Week 10 he also returned one 22 yards to help turn back a Cub drive. Dawson had five tackles and an interception at Servite in a key Week 9 win. Recorded 10 tackles and a sack vs. St. John Bosco in Week 7 and 9 tackles against Dorsey in Week 2.

Misc: Has 110 career tackles which is tied for 34th best in school history. Member of the 500, 900, Speed, Iron, War and Power Eagle Clubs.
