Cole is making significant contributions on offense, defense and special teams for the Eagles in 2001. The senior captain is second on the team with 17 receptions for 206 yards, and has rushed for 41 yards on only five carries on the season. He has also blocked three punts, recorded 42 tackles, forced two fumbles and intercepted a pass. In Week 11 Cole registered a career-high 13 tackles, blocked two punts and returned a kickoff 57 yards to earn both Defensive and Special teams Players of the Game honors. DeVitis scored a trifecta by earning Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Game in Week 10 vs. Servite after catching three passes for 53 yards, rushing once for six yards, recording six tackles, intercepting a pass and blocking a punt. He scored his first career touchdown, via rushing, forced a fumble and recorded seven tackles at Mater Dei in Week 9. In that game he earned Defensive Player of the Game honors for his stellar play including seven tackles and a forced fumble. At St. John Bosco in Week 8, Cole rushed for a career-high 18 yards. In Week 4 against Norco, Cole earned Offensive Player of the Game honors after catching a career-high five passes for 62 yards.

2000:
Cole started for the Eagles at slot receiver and finished the
season with 10 catches for 105 yards. Cole also played a key role
on several special teams, including punt and field goal block
teams.

Cole is an Honor Roll student-athlete. He is also a member of
the Strength Eagles, Speed Eagles, Power Eagles, Iron Eagles,
Hartigan's Heroes, 500 lb. Club, 800 lb. Club, 900 lb. Club, 1000
