David enjoyed possibly his best game of the season at Irvine in Week 9 as he picked up two decleaters and a 71% grade to earn Offensive Lineman of the Game honors. He also had a 73% grade for his defensive line play. David picked up one decleater at Newport Harbor and had an 85% grade at defensive tackle. David recorded five tackles at San Clemente. David had a fine all-around game at Dana Hills as he collected three decleater blocks and posted four tackles. David recorded two tackles from his defensive tackle position and posted a 70% grade at tackle. David registered three tackles and 0.5 decleaters vs. Dominguez. 1997: As a sophomore, David started four games and played in all 14, while registering 4.5 decleaters. He had his best game against Tustin in the CIF Championship Game as he recorded two decleaters and helped lead the offense to a school record 583 yards of total offense.
