The final standings for the Serra League - one of the five leagues in CIF-SS that make up Division I - are shown at right.

The Division I leagues are made up of the 26 most prominent public and private schools in Southern California. The 16 teams selected for the playoffs included Santa Margarita, Mater Dei and Servite.

A team from the Eagles' league has won the CIF Championship for nine consecutive years.

CIF-SS Division I football has been recognized by leading prep sports writers and recruiters as one of the top conferences in the nation.

The Eagles are 9-3 (.750) all-time mark against Serra League rivals going back to 1991.
