Series Facts: Even though this is the second year of a two year contract, it will be the third meeting between the two Division V schools. There are a lot of familiar faces on the Vanguard staff as Howard, Brett Kohorst, and Jason Hitchens are all ex-Eagle coaches. Last season SM cruised to a 32-3 victory in week four. El Modena later captured third in the Century League and drew the Eagles in the frst round of the playoffs. Their stay was short lived as SM raced to a 51-6 win in the rain. El Mo. was however, the only team to score on the Eagles in the Playoffs
