Eagles vs. Irvine Vaqueros
| Game 7 Irvine 29 - Eagles 26 The 29-26 loss put the Eagles (5-2, 2-2)in a desperate situation to earn a playoff spot in the grueling Sea View League. It looked like the Eagles were on their way to an upset as they went into the half with a 19-7 lead. The defense kept the Vaqueros out of the end zone for all but one possession, and the offense moved the ball up and down the field. Derek Yankoff scored on runs of one and four yards, and connected with Brian Finneran on a 31-yard Hail Mary pass as time expired in the second quarter. The Vaqueros came out strongly in the second half and scored on their first two possessions. Tony Mathis scored on a one-yard run and Mike Phelps had a seven-yard pass to Sean Clark to give Irvine a 22-20 lead in the third quarter. The Eagles responded with Brian Finneran's 60-yard reception for a score. Finneran caught the ball over the middle and cut across to the opposite hash and down the sideline to put the Eagles back on top, 26-22. But, as they did last year, the Vaqueros stormed back and wore down the Eagles. Mathis, who finished with 167 yards, scored on a one-yard run to preserve the victory.
