This is the inaugural Varsity season for the Santa Margarita Eagles. Playing with only Juniors and Sophomores, the Eagles finished the season 8-4 and made the playoffs for the first time in school history with the At-Large Berth for Division IX. The Eagles lost in the Quarterfinals 14-21 to the eventual CIF Champions, the Carpinteria Warriors.
