This would have been a great matchup between LA County team v.s a Orange County Team. Alot of OC teams have this mystic about them. We are a small Catholic School team that plays with alot of heart. We seem to never get the opportunity to play Teams from OC. I think it would prove to be very interesting to see the outcome. For years we competited in the Del Rey League. It is nice to be able to follow Eagles football from anywhere at anytime. I am a former Eagle football player, a charter class member to be exact. I was awarded an honorary diploma from SMHS after serving as ASB president for 2 years before having to move to Seattle with my family. However, I was an integral part of the first few years of Eagle football. I continued on to play in college at Western Washington University, where I also helped recruit another Eagle, Greg Pichler to the Viking football team. I went on from WWU to play professionaly for 1 year in Europe and the past two years have played professionally in the Arena football league. To this day I consider myself an Eagle and take a lot of pride in everything that goes on down there. I credit a lot of my make-up as an athlete to the foundation that Jim Hartigan taught all of us. I go to UCI and am able to Watch a few every so often. My brother is a sophmore there and my neighbor and good friend is Ryan Whelan. I would like to congratlate him on the onside kick recovery at the Homecoming game. I won CIF four times in Cross Country and Track and I know what it takes to get to the top and stay there.Your program is doing an awesome job and making us all proud. Keep it up guys.
