Made Philadelphia’s final roster and played
in three games, while being inactive for two other games…Caught
two passes for 21 yards with an 11-yard long…Saw action
vs. Arizona (9/12), at Buffalo (9/26) and at New
York Giants (10/3)…In NFL debut vs. Arizona caught
his first pro pass for a 10-yard gain from QB Doug Pederson…At
Buffalo (9/26) the following week lined up at tight end
at various times and caught one pass for 11 yards…Played
but did not catch a pass at New York (10/3).
Pro Career:
Big, tall rangy target who played in three games
with the Philadelphia Eagles last year after strong showing
in NFL Europe with Barcelona Dragons…Spent rest of 1999
season on the Falcons’ practice squad…Will compete
for a roster spot in a deep Falcons receiving corps in 2000.
NFL Europe:
Finished third in NFL Europe in receptions with 54, fourth in
yards with 844 and fourth in touchdowns with eight while playing
for Barcelona Dragons...Named offensive player of the week at
Amsterdam after hauling in seven passes for 205 yards with three
touchdowns. Those single-game totals were ranked first and second,
respectively, all-time in an NFL Europe game.
1998:
Signed as a rookie free agent by the Seattle Seahawks
after a prolific college career at Villanova…Did not make
the final roster and was waived. |

Press after a senior year at Villanova where he caught
96 passes for 1,389 yards with 19 touchdowns. For
his efforts he was afforded the Walter Payton Award
given to the nation’s top offensive player in
Division I-AA. Finished his productive career with
a school record 265 receptions for 3,872 yards with
34 touchdowns. |
